This fall we will be tailgating at local football games with our MCU (Mobile Church Unit). This is a great chance for you to bring your friends to the van and connect them with rbcstudents! Along with free food, we will have the Wii hooked up to the TV in the back of the MCU so students can play video games. We also need volunteers to help us set up/tear down, hand out food, and grill. If you're interested in volunteering, please contact Emilee ASAP with your name and the dates you are available to help. All dates and locations are listed below!
September 12th @ Kickapoo
September 26th @ Nixa: Dodgeball Tournament after the game!
October 10th @ Kickapoo
October 17th @ Republic
This fall we will begin offering a series of Community Groups, where students can connect their friends to rbcstudents in a smaller, more intimate setting. If you are interested in starting or hosting a Community Group, contact Joe or Emilee and they will get you the info you need! Below you will find the Community Groups currently being offered, as well as times and locations.
LLH Girl's Bible Study (7th, 8th, & 9th Grade Girls) meets every Sunday night at Simply Yo on Campbell from 6pm-7:30pm.
Moore Mondays with Beth (10th, 11th, & 12th Grade Girls) happens at 6pm on the second Monday of every month at Karla Thrashers house.
Braum's Girl's Bible Study (Nixa High School Girls) meets every Monday at 7am at the Braum's in Nixa.
Make sure to join other students around your flag pole for a morning of prayer. Each school's time vary so check with your school to find out what time. If there isn't a rally scheduled, start one! All you need to do is get the word out that you will be praying at your flag pole and invite others to join you. If we can be of assistance, please let our staff know.
Youth groups from the area will come together at the school for a night of worship and word. These events will happen at the same time on the same night in two locations. Nixa's Merge will include a worship band, student speakers, games, etc.. Republic's Merge will include a performance by Real Encounter Motorcycle Stunt Team and an evangelistic message from Brad Bennett of Real Encounter. Services will start at 6:30pm, but activities will start at 6pm. If you live in either town, please attend the one happening where you live. If you don't live in one of these cities, pick a Merge to attend and go!
If you signed up to be a part of a student leadership team last year, you are still on that team! Please make note of these meetings and try your best to be there. We will discuss upcoming events, planning, and other things throughout the year.
