Green Thumb MinistryCaring for interior and exterior plants and assists with seasonal plantings.
Health Education MinistryMedically-trained individuals assisting during a medical need or crisis during worship services or special events.
Holiday Decorating MinistryTeam members enjoy working together to bring the warmth of the holidays as they deck the halls during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.
MailingsDeliver bulk mailings to the main Post Office on an occasional basis. (Must be able to lift 25 lbs)
Office HelpersAssist with general administrative tasks or special projects during the weekdays.
Park and Ride Shuttle DriversDrive a shuttle bus to and from the Remington’s lot on Sunday mornings. A CDL with passenger license is required to drive the large shuttles, and a regular operators license for the smaller buses. Drivers serve on a rotational basis.
Pew Rack MinistryTeams clean and restock the pew racks weekly by sections. Serve on a rotational basis.
Security Team MinistryTrained to maintain adequate security to ensure a safe church environment and respond to potentially harmful or hazardous situations within the church.
Church & Community
AIDS MinistryShare the love and hope of Jesus Christ with people affected by HIV and AIDS by offering prayer support, notes of encouragement, special projects, phone contacts, visits, and deliveries.
Angel Food Distribution Help with one of the various tasks of the Angel Food distribution at Remington’s. Typically the last Saturday of each month.
Celebrate RecoveryBiblical approach using small groups to bring about life changes and healing. Worship leaders, food providers, children leaders for Celebrating Kids, student leaders for The Landing, small group facilitators, including DivorceCare and Veterans, are ways you can serve.
Deaf MinistryQualified interpreters are needed for worship services to translate the songs and spoken word.
Disaster Preparedness Food preparation, housekeeping, transportation, medical and security are all needed when Ridgecrest is called upon to be a disaster shelter or during a pandemic. Join a team to work a shift and show God’s love in a critical time.
English as a Second LanguageEnjoy meeting people from different countries while teaching English as their second language. Shuttle drivers are needed to transport students to and from MSU campus on a rotational basis.
Financial MinistriesEquip people to learn, apply, and teach God’s financial principles.

Job Search & Career AssistanceAssistants help people learn to conduct a job search, build an effective resume, and polish their interview skills.
Residential Care Facilities MinistryThere are many ways to serve, including, but not limited to, visiting, reading, writing letters, and even planning birthday parties. Please prayerfully consider this wonderful ministry.
Ridgecrest Rides MinistryPeople using their love for cars, trucks, and motorcycles to help others.
Discipleship
Library MinistryPurchase, catalog, and assist people in finding a great book to read. This is the task of the Librarian and Assistant Librarians.
Small Group Care LeaderConnect new comers with introductions, care calls, and crisis help using creative ways to say, “we love you”. Provides hugs, prayers, meals, cards or flowers.
Small Group CoordinatorOrganize and oversee the inner workings of a Small Group. Work with the teacher and care leaders to create an environment of worship, time in the Word, and serving others. Assume the duties of a ministry leader or delegate to another person(s). Enjoy organizing, leading, and have strong people skills.
Small Group TeacherShepherd and lead your Small Group in life changing Bible study. Lesson preparation required.
Women’s MinistryWomen at Ridgecrest can enjoy a variety of serving opportunities through the Women’s Ministry by leading Bible studies in the church and community, mentor through Apples of Gold, sew with the Top Stitchers who meet the clothing needs of the needy, administrative tasks, and/or serve on special event teams.
Hospitality
Coffee Care MinistryBrew coffee and maintain supply for Small Groups and visitors during Sunday morning services. Training is provided. Serve on a rotational basis
GreetersOffer a friendly smile and word of welcome to guests and members on Sundays, Wednesdays and during special events, serving on a rotational basis.
Harvest TeamsTeams minister weekly by serving as ambassadors to the many guests of RBC Worship Celebrations.
UshersPresent people with a bulletin or program, help them find seating, and strive to make everyone feel comfortable during the service.
Welcome Center AssistantsProvide information, answer questions, and help others find their way around the church facility.
Pastoral Care and Prayer
Baptism MinistryAssists the pastor and baptismal candidate in preparation for baptism.
Benevolence MinistryConsider requests from those not able to meet their own needs.
Hospital VisitationVisitors go weekly on an assigned day to bring encouragement to those hospitalized.
Intercessory Prayer MinistryWeekly and /or Sunday mornings pray for those who make a special request and send notes of encouragement when requested.
Preschool & Children
KidsQuest (3 years to 6th grade): Children worship together, study God’s Word, learn to use their Bibles, memorize scripture and participate in mission service to our church, community and world. Serving opportunities are plentiful and rewarding!
Preschool and Children’s Bible Study 4 KidsAdults are needed to provide quality teaching and the proper adult to student ratio. Training provided.
Vacation Bible SchoolAdults are needed for summer’s greatest experience for Ridgecrest and community kids who have completed kindergarten thru 6th grade.
PA & CA (Preschool & Children’s Assistant)Serve Sunday mornings on a rotational basis to ensure our preschoolers and children have quality care.
Wonderful Wednesdays, Summer Activities, and Centri-Kid CampChoose from many summer activities to help kids of all ages experience a meaningful summer.
Student Praise TeamThis team consists of vocalists and musicians who occasionally lead worship on Sundays and Wednesdays. Participation is by audition only.
Student’s Bible Study/DiscipleshipAdults are needed to teach in the student ministry on Sunday mornings.
Student Leadership TeamsTeams of parents work with the Student Pastor to organize and implement retreats, camps and other activities.
Singles
Adopt-A-College Student Caring adults and families are needed to adopt a college student for the school year beginning each fall.
Sonlight SinglesLeadership is needed to help coordinate the many activities of this busy singles ministry.
Young At Heart Ministry (55+)Help coordinate the numerous opportunities for fellowship and ministry.
Technology
Photography MinistryPictures of new members and special events. Serve on a rotational basis.
Worship TechnologiesIncludes sound technicians, video presentation, stage lighting, and camera operation. Training provided.
Video Communication MinistryProduce video products that communicate what God is doing, in and through His church.
Worship and Music
AccompanistPlay the piano, organ or keyboard for Sunday Worship Celebrations and special events.
Celebration Worship ChoirRehearse Wednesday evenings, plus provide worship for services and special presentations.
Celebration Worship OrchestraRehearsals are Wednesday nights and the orchestra plays each Sunday and for special events.
Offering BearerHelp others in this act of worship by collecting tithes and offerings during services.
Worship Ministries Office HelpersAssist the assistant by filing music, making copies, and other miscellaneous office duties.
