Childhood and Students

Kids’ Missions

Wednesday evenings throughout the school year include missions education, activities, and involvement for 3 year olds (3 by 7/31 of the current school year) through 6th graders. Children learn from adults who love the Lord, love them, and love missions.

Preschool and Children’s Sunday School

This is the most valuable opportunity that adults have to influence infants through sixth graders with Bible study and relationship building. Many adults are needed to provide quality teaching and the proper adult to pupil ratio that is critical for positive church experiences.  Adults receive training and ongoing  ministry meetings in order to make their role fun and productive.

Vacation Bible School

Summer’s greatest experience for kids who have completed 1st through  6th grade is VBS!  Many adults are needed to provide teaching, care, interaction, counsel, and encouragement to Ridgecrest and community kids.  The spring enlistment and training/planning opportunities result in a great VBS each year.

PA (Preschool Assistants)

Every younger preschool parent and many other adults embrace the opportunity to serve, on a rotating basis, on Sunday mornings during the worship hour in order to assure our preschoolers of quality care, adequate adult-child ratio, and a good experience at church.

Wonderful Wednesdays, Summer Activities, and Camps for Kids

Many adults are involved in preschooler’s and children’s  summer activities, including camp (for kids who have completed 3rd – 6th grades), and Wonderful Wednesdays (a fun, Bible-themed, activity-based, summer event on Wednesday evenings).

Student Praise Team (7 – 12th grade)

The Praise Team consists of vocalists and musicians that occasionally lead worship on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights during iLife, the student ministry’s mid-week worship service. Participation is by audition only.

Student’s Bible Study/Discipleship (7 – 12th grade)

Adults are enlisted to teach ongoing Small Groups that meet on Sunday mornings.

Student Leadership Teams (7 – 12th grade)

Parents of students are asked to participate on teams that work with the Student Pastor to organize and implement retreats, camps and other activities throughout the year, such as D-Now, Student Camp, etc.
