Administration & Facilities Building and Grounds Just as there are “honey-do” jobs at home, there are also jobs at our church home. Squeaky doors, touch up painting, and set-up for special events, just to name a few. If you have a couple of hours to give, you are needed.
Green Thumb Ministry Calling all people with Green Thumbs! It's a jungle out there, or at least it will be if we don't keep it tamed! There are lots of interior and exterior plants and shrubs throughout and around our church facility just waiting for your tender love and care. If you enjoy gardening/tending plant life, then we need you!
Health Education Ministry If you are a medically-trained individual who could assist during a medical crisis during worship services or a special event, this may be the right ministry for you. In addition, this team promotes good healthcare by offering periodic health screenings and blood drives, as well as being a resource for other related health or medical needs.
Holiday Decorating Ministry Whether you are a professional interior designer, or a person who simply enjoys decorating, you can be a part of this ministry! Team members enjoy working together to bring the warmth of the holidays as they deck the halls.
Kitchen Maintenance & Organization Which room in the house seems to become disorganized most quickly? The kitchen, of course! With weddings, dinners, meetings, and fellowships taking place each week, it doesn't take long until the kitchen needs some TLC. Teams for this ministry clean and organize the Ridgecrest Room once a week, and work on a rotational basis.
Mailings People are needed to help deliver the bulk mailings to the main Post Office. (Must be able to lift 25 lbs)
Office Helpers When there are special events, or a secretary is on vacation we need people to assist with general administrative tasks during the weekdays.
Park and Ride Shuttle Drivers The Lord has provided our church with off-site parking and shuttle buses to help with overflow parking. You can be an integral part of this process by driving the shuttle buses to and from these off-site lots. A CDL with passenger license is required to drive the large shuttles, and a regular operators license for the smaller buses. Drivers serve on a rotational basis.
Pew Rack Ministry Most of us have probably experienced the frustration of encountering a poorly maintenanced pew rack. No Bible or song book–pens missing–offering envelopes damaged. These problems are almost non-existent at Ridgecrest, thanks to the members of this ministry. Teams clean and restock the pew racks weekly, ensuring they are ready for worship services. Serving on a rotational basis, you can be a tremendous blessing to others as a part of this ministry!
Recreational Ministries Recreational events are a wonderful way to build relationships with non-believers or unchurched people. Sign up to help facilitate one or more events for the Activities Ministry.
Activities Facilitator—Oversee the Fellowship Center during activity events. Be a part of the Activities Ministry team and help us plan and organize sporting events.
Coaches/Captains—A variety of coaches or captains are needed to manage teams in city and in church leagues.
Fellowship Group Leader—Oversee the planning and organization of a specific recreation fellowship group.
League Directors—Oversee the general operation of a sports league enlisting volunteers, organizing and promoting the league.
Score Keeper Coordinator—Recruit and train score keepers for a variety of leagues and events.
Score Keepers—Operate the scoreboard system during sporting events.
Security Team Ministry Teams of members are trained to maintain adequate security and respond to crisis within the church, when needed.
